House Of Holland To Launch Menswear
House of Holland has announced it will launch a men's collection on June 14 at London Collections: Men. The brand's first menswear collection was inspired by youth culture and tribal uniforms, drawing on "Teds, casuals, buffalo kids and ravers," designer Henry Holland told WWD.
Martin Parr photographed the campaign images for the upcoming collection. House of Holland's new menswear collection will debut to press and consumers simultaneously. It will then be available at Selfridges in London, Opening Ceremony in the U.S. and Galeries Lafayette in Paris and Beijing.
Parr has also collaborated with House of Holland on a capsule collection for the brand's spring 2016 line.
"I feel like we have found a great solution to the 'see now, want now, buy now' culture we are increasingly working within," designer Holland told WWD. "I'm excited to see the reaction."
House of Holland previously showed its womenswear collection as part of Fashion East's designer showcase.
Each season, Fashion East chooses budding designers to showcase their collections to the international press and buyers at London Fashion Week. Designers are selected by Lulu Kennedy — Fashion East founder and director — and a panel of industry experts.
Designers receive a complete catwalk show production at LFW, professional catwalk photographs and video, mentoring, guidance and in-house PR from Kennedy and her team for the entire season.
Other successes of the Fashion East program include Richard Nicoll, Holly Fulton, Jonathan Saunders, Gareth Pugh, Marios Schwab, Louise Goldin, Roksanda Ilincic, Marques Almeida, Simone Rocha and Meadham Kirchhoff.
